In 1980 started doing the electric boogie...my 1st name was Ant La Rock..tought by this kat name Zubang from the Zulu Nation... 1981 learned how to break from this kid name Chiquitin at PS 26 ,he was the 1st guy i ever saw break..he did a handglyde at a talent show where i also audition doing the electric boogie...we both became good friends & he taught me the basics,like up rockin,foot work,handglydes & headspins.
I found out a few other kids was breakin on my block...we started our 1st crew called the powerful breakers...memebers was my boys Harold (fastLegs) Boobie,Woody,Calilo & Furman..that was in 1982
our 1st battle was against these kids from the grand concourse,cant remember the name of the crew..i was so nervous cause that was our 1st battle & there was only 4 of us & they had like 8 guys...Harolds brother went to skool with LiL Alex ,he ws not down with the NYC Breakers at that time & he got down with us in the battle & single handed took out the whole crew by himself...I was the 1st to start the battle & i had a style dat was like clowning the other guys, i did some footworks & flip backwards into a suiside freeze...it was a dope battle..lots of people was their & would u believe the guys we battle bacame our friends & we had a meeting a week later to start a new crew...we had a meeting at an Abandoned Factory in Jerome ave...there was like 20 of us & we was all in a circle..i remember it took a long time for everybody intoduce themself..lol...Harold,Furman & I was the only to go to the meetings,our other boys didnt go so we stop dancing with them cause we was serious about this dance...
1983 we practice in the factory everyday,we would play hooky there as well..It was hard to get a new name, our first crew name was called breakin in action..we came up w/that name from chuck norris movie called " missing in action " lol
it was me ( tony star ) my name was given to me from this bboy from the chief rockers cause he i was very arrogant !! Tic Master, Float 4 , Fast legs, Rob..aka RIME, Chino, Angel,Jose, Elliot,Royal & Joker...we change our name to DANCE CONTROL ..

Back then the only places you went to battle,besides the streets was SKATE KEY in Allenton,the church in Walton ave.
45, Walton HS, THE BASEMENT in Morris ave & St. Martins Church in 183 in Crotona..all in the Bronx..
That same yr Beat Street came out & me float & Harold met Buck 4 from the Rock Steady Crew...He invited us to his house in Crotona ave,his father was the super of the building & basement was where the practice at...Buck 4 brother FLEX was a bboy too & had his crew the Hot Feet Rockers !! Flex also was a boxer !! i told him that i started Boxing at Jerome Boxing Club & he took me under his wing...i started learning from bucky,flex,spanky,outlaw ...i was the shorty !!
1984 i hungout alot with Flex,i started bringing them to my side of the bronx which was the westside cause they was from the eastside...1984 i started to become a trouble maker & was starting alot of fights cause i knew how to box & i had the Nepoleon syndrome..lol ...i began robbing kids sneakers,sheepskins & Gazal glasses... that same year i had a fight with this fat kid in the 8th grade & broke my hand wrist !!! It was hard to break after that , so i started to write Grafitti with my boys Chino ( DAZE ) Float ( KEP ) Rob ( RIME ) Harold (KEP2) & I tagged BEL 180 in honor of Harry Belafonte cause i was a big fan of the movie BEAT SREET... That same year i met this cocky motherfuckin Bboy named KID NESS who yah know as ALIEN NESS !! Buck4,Tic Master & myself went looking for him in the bronx cause he useto talk shit back then too..lol .. we found him in University ave & when he saw us he was a little nervous but Buck pulled him to the side & everything got squash..thats real HISTORY !!

1985 for me,was when breakin STOPPED !! The media started going against us & u would get arrested for breakin...RUN DMC was the shit !! & bboyin died...after that everything change in Hip Hop...
1996 Speedy D brought me back to the scene.,he took me to my 1st RSC anniversary these bboys took it to the next level,, overwhelmed !!!
1998 Aby's sister Ester got married & at the wedding,me Aby & Speedy started breakin at the wedding ..lol.. it was a great night !! I didnt know Aby was a Bboy..lol
2007 is when i really got back into the scene...thanx to Aby the Original concrete rocker..later became the vice-prez of the Bronx Boys Rocking Crew with the blessing of Batch original prez of the tbb rocking crew 1975..

IM REMEMBER BACK IN THE 1980'S WHEN MY BOY FLEX WAS THE PRESIDENT & SPANKY VICE PRESIDENT & THE BREAKERS OUTLAW, WILLIE ROME, CRAZY JANET, CUJO ,BOOGIE BOY CALIFORNIA FROST, KID GRAVITY...THE CREW FIRST STARTED THAT WERE DOWN DURING THAT TIME...MY BOYS JULIAN, CRAZY EDDIE, HE-MAN, CRAZY MELLO, HECTOR, MIKE , DAVE....YOU GUYS ARE NOT FORGOTTEN !!...LOVE YOU GUYS !
